The primary purpose of the Lake Heritage Fishing Club is to preserve and enhance fishing at Lake Heritage, to provide assistance to the Board of Directors (BOD), and Lake Heritage Property Owners Association (LHPOA) on matters relating to fishing activities at Lake Heritage. The Club Officers consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. In addition, the Fishing Club promotes fellowship to all our property owners and residents. All individuals who own property at Lake Heritage or reside at Lake Heritage are eligible to join the Fishing Club. An annual membership fee is required to join. Even though many of our members love to fish, you do not have to fish to be a member. The Fishing Club meets monthly, normally the 2nd Friday of each month, at the community center. A typical meeting starts with social time, blessing, pledge of allegiance, welcome new members and guests, dinner, business meeting, and closing remarks. Also, the club plans special outings to some of the local attractions in the area, i.e. dinner theaters, casino, etc. The Fishing Club has several fund raisers during the year. To list a few of them: the annual dues required of our members, games of chance at our monthly meeting, pancake breakfast on the 4th of July, a Soup/Salad Bingo evening, a golf chip bingo event, and several others. Where does the money raised by the Fishing Club go? The Club supports the fish stocking program, the Club has a Scholarship program, contributes to the Fireworks program, conducts two fishing tournaments each year, supports the local library, supports the local Fire Company and a few other events and activities. So, you see, the Fishing Club here at Lake Heritage is a club for all families of our community that supports a wide range of activities for everyone.
